5. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide the service — authenticate you, analyze outfit photos, show scores and recommendations, save your check history, and enable sharing of results.
- Manage subscriptions — verify Pro access, apply promo codes, restore purchases, and handle billing status.
- Improve reliability and product quality — monitor crashes, fix bugs, and understand feature usage through analytics.
- Protect the service — enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and secure accounts.
- Comply with law — respond to lawful requests and meet legal obligations.
- Communicate with you — respond to support requests.
5.1 AI processing of photos
When you submit a photo for analysis:
- The photo is uploaded to our private, access-controlled storage (Supabase Storage, bucket
look-photos). - Our server generates a time-limited signed URL and sends the image to OpenAI’s API for automated outfit analysis.
- The AI returns structured results (scores, recommendations, text), which we store in our database linked to your account.
Important:
- Analysis focuses on clothing and styling, not biometric identification.
- We do not use your photos for facial recognition or to identify you.
- Our AI instructions prohibit comments on weight, body type, or facial appearance.
- AI output is automated and for entertainment / informational purposes only (see Terms of Service).
According to OpenAI’s API terms, data submitted through the API is generally not used to train their public models; OpenAI may retain API data for a limited period for abuse monitoring and service operation. See OpenAI’s privacy policy for details.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable under GDPR, we rely on:
| Basis | Processing activity |
|---|---|
| Contract | Providing account, analysis, history, and subscription features |
| Legitimate interests | Security, fraud prevention, analytics, product improvement |
| Consent | Optional permissions (camera, gallery), and where required for analytics |
| Legal obligation | Compliance with applicable laws |
You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Our service providers may process data in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Data Retention
| Data type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account & profile | Until you delete your account |
| Outfit photos & check history | Until you delete your account, or until deleted individually if such feature is available |

10. Security
We use industry-standard measures including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS);
- authenticated access to private photo storage;
- short-lived signed URLs for image access;
- row-level security and access controls in our database;
- rate limiting on analysis requests.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong Apple/Google account and keep your device secure.

Deletion removes your photos from our storage and deletes your account, profile, check history, and subscription records from our active databases (cascading delete). Residual copies in backups may persist for a limited period.
11.2 Marketing
We do not send promotional emails unless you opt in. You can opt out at any time.
11.3 Analytics opt-out
Where applicable, you may limit analytics through in-app settings (if provided) or by contacting us. Some technical logs are necessary for security and cannot be disabled while using the App.

13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and notify you in the App or by email where required by law.
Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
